Heidi Heise

Heidi (she/her) started her non-profit accounting life two decades ago as the volunteer treasurer of the Women’s Prison Book Project collective. Learning the importance of careful financial management from the perspective of a small radical nonprofit inspired her to stay the course.

Prior to joining the Diverge team she was a Senior Staff Accountant at Planned Parenthood NCS, the Director of Finance and Operations at Oasis for Youth, and most recently an independent accounting contractor for several nonprofits and small businesses.

She is passionate about elevating alternatives to the status quo and looks forward to supporting more organizations fighting for justice and equity.

Heidi lives in south Minneapolis with her amazing partner-wife and sweet dog Nora.
